Renting and
Other Options.
Sometimes rental or leased housing is the most appropriate to the need and income.
Just as in real estate, the search for housing begins knowing that
what you now have does not work for you. The reason for inadequacy is clear. Its
too
small, too many stairs, the yard is too big/small, the neighbours are too loud, there is
not enough or too much room, or work is too far away. The reason may be that there
is not enough support available for a physical or mental need. It may be that
current shelter is just too dangerous. They are all good reasons and when it finally
is too much to ignore, the move is on.
There are so many options.
You may have lived all your life in a single detached house with a yard to maintain.
Choosing another option like an apartment or housing suited to your changing needs can be
confusing. Fog sets in as you begin to try to find all the options in the new kind
of housing you now need.
This section of JustShelter is devoted to helping with the fog. If this
fails to help, email for clarification. |
