Many of our friends or parents
are wintering in mobile home parks in
Florida or Arizona. In many ways it is attractive. It is
inexpensive and and its warm, plus there is plenty of easily made new
friends. The down side is that many friends and family are far away.
Look at the AARP web site for information on these
homes. You may find it inviting.
Locally there are seasonal homes like Black Creek Village or Sherkston Beach where for
6 months you can have a home away from home. What some are doing is
having a summer home at Sherkston and a
winter home in
Florida. A word
of caution. These homes depreciate in value fairly quickly, much
like automobiles. Our advice is to buy used, not new. Then if
you must have new, do so after you are convinced you will continue to
enjoy the lifestyle. |
